Slumdog Millionare

Ditulis oleh : Lulu Fahrullah
1. Tentang Jawaban Atas Sebuah Pertanyaan
Sebuah pertanyaan muncul dalam benak seorang pemuda India berumur 18 tahun bernama Jamal Malik, pertanyaan yang memuat begitu banyak hal sentimentil di dalamnya dan menantang logika untuk menjawabnya. Ia tampak resah malam itu, bukan hanya karena ia belum mendapatkan jawaban atas pertanyaan yang menganggunya, tapi lebih dari sekedar itu, ia kini sedang duduk di kursi panas sebuah Mega Quiz Dunia, “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” dan satu pertanyaan lagi akan membuat dia menjadi seorang milyuner, sebuah pencapaian yang bahkan seorang dokter dan professor terpintar India pun tidak dapat menandinginya. Kejadian bersejarah itu mau tidak mau memunculkan sebuah keraguan dan prasangka buruk, apakah Jamal berbuat curang? “Ayolah dia kan hanya seorang pemuda dari kawasan kumuh (Slumdog), apa yang mungkin (kalangan) dia ketahui?” “Bagaimana dia bisa mengalahkan pencapaian para intelektual yang tingkat pendidikannya jauh di atasnya?” begitu komentar sinis polisi yang menginterogasi Jamal karena menduga ia berbuat curang. Lalu apa jawaban Jamal saat para polisi itu menginterogasi bahkan “menyiksa”nya? Dengan tenang ia menjawab “I Just Knew The Answer, You Don’t Have To be A Genius To Answer The Questions”. Jawaban yang selanjutnya menjadi pembuka tabir kisah hidup Jamal beserta kausalitas di dalamnya. Sebuah premis unik dan menarik diusung oleh film Slumdog Millionaire besutan Danny Boyle ini, sutradara asal Inggris yang karya fenomenalnya “Trainspotting” tentang kehidupan para junkies sudah menjadi tontonan wajib para moviegoers. Kali ini Boyle menampilkan sesuatu yang lebih segar, hidup dan menghibur. Mengambil seluruh lokasi dan pemain asal India, Boyle menjadikan film ini lain daripada lain, Bollywood citra rasa Hollywood begitu banyak kritikus menjuluki film ini, tapi tentunya sangat jelas bahwa film ini lebih baik ketimbang film Bollywood-Hollywood semisal Bride and Prejudice, Bend It Like Beckham bahkan juga mungkin The Namesake dan Mansoon Wedding belum bisa menyamai level Slumdog Millionaire. Film pemenang Golden Globe 2009 untuk Best Picture kategori Drama ini menawarkan semangat perjuangan, pantang menyerah, dan pengorbanan yang dibalut oleh bumbu Cinta, dan tidak diragukan lagi bahwa film ini memang film tentang Cinta (We can’t live without love, can we, mate?). Ada satu hal penting yang perlu kita catat dan garisbawahi dalam film Slumdog Millionaire yakni bahwa film ini memberikan arti penting DESTINY (dibaca: takdir) bagi para tokoh di dalamnya. So now you know the right answer 4 the question above, right? =) 2. Nyoba Ngomong Soal Cinta dan Takdir Berbicara tentang Takdir, saya lantas teringat Kisah Cinta (sedap,,) teman-teman saya yang baru putus cinta atau bahkan mencari dan mempertahankan cinta mereka, begitu banyak kesan yang bisa saya rasakan ketika mendengar atau bahkan menjadi saksi mata kisah-kisah mereka tsb. Begitu banyak pertanyaan, keceriaan, keluhan yang saya terima, tak jarang pula mereka meminta saran dan nasihat kepada saya yang kebetulan saat itu berprofesi sebagai PELACUR (Pelayan Curhat, Sob ! Hehe,,). Dan setelah begitu banyak perdebatan diantara beberapa teman mengenai Love Things (Especially Girls Things,, No Girls No Child, Bro,, haha,,). Muncul pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang esensinya persis sama dengan apa yang Jamal, Pemuda Slumdog itu alami ;
  1. Apa yang kita perlukan untuk mendapatkan the right girl/man ?
  2. Apa yang kita perlukan untuk mempertahankan hubungan kita dengan belahan jiwa kita?
  3. Apa yang kita perlukan untuk melupakan orang yang kita sayangi dan meneruskan hidup tanpa-nya?
Saya yakin akan sangat beragam jawaban yang muncul dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut, namun satu hal yang pasti semua jawaban itu tidak terlepas dari DESTINY,, ya Takdirlah yang akan “memberikan” jalan akhir dari Kisah Cinta kita, Takdir dari Tuhanlah yang memberi warna berbeda pada kisah hidup kita, dan Takdir pulalah yang mempertemukan kembali Jamal dan Latika (Cinta masa kecil Jamal), setelah terpisah bertahun-tahun. ( So Sweeeeeeet,, ^_^ ) Mengingatkan perkataan motivator favorit saya Mario Teguh, “Kita tidak akan pernah mengetahui bagaimana Takdir akan memperlakukan kita di masa depan, sebagai manusia yang perlu kita lakukan adalah mengusahakan Takdir yang baik”
So My Friends Let’s Create Our Good Destiny, Let’s Keep Finding Our Love, Keep Protect Our Love, and Keep Believe that Love Will Always Around ! Cheers,, !! ^_^
